“There is something in every one of you that waits and listens for the sound of the genuine in yourself. It is the only true guide you will ever have. And if you cannot hear it, you will all of your life spend your days on the ends of strings that somebody else pulls.”
– Howard Thurman
This quote stops me in my tracks every time.
In the noise of leadership, expectations, and responsibility – it’s easy to lose touch with your own voice. The one that knows what matters. The one that tells the truth, in the noise and the quiet.
If we don’t take time to listen, we risk living on autopilot – chasing goals that aren’t ours, driven by someone else’s agenda.
So today is a gentle check-in:
🤔 Are you holding your own strings? Or have they quietly slipped out of your hands?
Your most grounded leadership begins when you choose to listen to the sound of the genuine within.
