Teams that are productive and high achieving have a basis of strong communication that underpins the way they work as individuals and as a team.
That communication will often be grounded in a culture of inquiry where they are encouraged to question, explain and explore. Without that, there are more opportunities for decisions to be made that are not fully formed, for mistakes to be made, and for staff to not feel fully engaged. Being able to query and share can release or prevent frustration as well as confusion.
You can instigate a culture of inquiry by not only asking questions of other contributors, but also by asking what they think about what’s being floated.
Encourage curiosity and help your team better understand each other and what is being asked of them.
I can guide you to create the space for this type of conversation to take place, and to lead a more empowered, effective team.
